Hard work beats talent when talent fails to work hard. Talent is a gift that you are born with; and is also a way that you can succeed without doing anything academically. Talent is futile, but only if you do not reach for it. Just because you have talent, does that mean you are the best. I have always been told by my parents that even if you are really good at something, someone is always better at that task than you. I have found that to be true. But, that does not mean they are better than you.

In this case, hard work is more important than talent, as talent will only carry one so far. If someone is not willing to put forth the hard work and effort to cultivate their talent, then the talent itself is useless. Hard work and determination will put out talent any day. If anyone is fortunate enough to have the brains to be a genius, they cannot become a “true” genius without motivation.

Talent gives you a head start towards your dreams, but hard work makes you accomplish those dreams. Most people are not very talented, but are hard working. That is how they accomplish their goals. One does not have to be talented to be successful. Always strive to make a continuous effort to use talent and hard work for better results, so that you can be successful.
