Halloween Fun: Is there an age limit?

Gracie Byrne, Co-Editor

For many people, Halloween is their favorite time of the year. It’s a time of costumes, candy, and fun. As children, we spend Halloween trick or treating with our friends in our favorite costumes, but is there a cut off? Is there a time where we become too old for Halloween? Well, the answer is subjective. To me, the answer is no.

Halloween is for everyone; no matter how old they may be. Just because you are an adult, doesn’t mean that you still can’t get into the spirit of the holiday. You can still wear a costume, and you can still eat candy. You can still celebrate Halloween; it just may be different now that you are older. Obviously, you probably shouldn’t go trick or treating, unless you’re escorting kids, like a sibling or something. When it comes to wearing costumes, there are some differences. Costumes that you wore as a kid may not be acceptable to wear as an adult. You can still have candy, but unless you find some at a party, you may have to buy your own.

As an adult celebrating Halloween, you can still pull pranks, but I would advise that you exercise caution. Also, as an adult, you don’t have a curfew, so you could stay out all night and not have to worry about getting home by a certain time. Overall, Halloween isn’t just for kids. Halloween is for anyone who loves the holiday for what it is: a time to dress up and have fun, while getting candy, too!
