In a Bulgari jewellery ad directed by Paolo Sorrentino (The Great Beauty), Hathaway stars alongside Zendaya. Two-and-a-half-minute short film “Unexpected Wonders” is set in Rome and evokes Hathaway’s roles in Ocean’s 8 and The Hustle, with a dash of sensual love.
Gem-Clad Zendaya And Anne Hathaway’s Wistful Dance?
Gem-clad Zendaya and Anne Hathaway’s wistful dance? “Euphoria” sounds like what I’m hearing.
“Unexpected Wonders” is the tagline for the latest advertising campaign from the Italian jeweller, which was unveiled on Tuesday.
Both Zendaya and Hathaway are Bulgari global ambassadors, and the video was shot in Rome and directed by Paolo Sorrentino. They narrate as they pose in various pieces of jewellery from the brand.
Zendaya wears a long, black gown with an embellished neckpiece featuring a diamond and emerald pendant, while Anne Hathaway is dressed in strapless purple jumpsuits and matching diamond and emerald necklaces.
The two then wander around a palazzo, each shot showing them modelling a different piece of jewellery, for the remainder of the short.
Stay curious and open to an infinite number of blissful possibilities, accepting Rome’s heartfelt invitation to look for joy and wonder in every moment, gleaning beauty in the most unexpected places,” The video’s captions were written by Bulgari. In #Bulgari’s new Brand movie ‘Unexpected Wonders,’ discover the wonders of Rome in unexpected ways.
Hear Hathaway and Zendaya say, “There are no endings” in the film, “In the search for wonder…” Hathaway is seen lustfully staring at rare gemstones and Zendaya herself as she walks through a mansion covered in elegant jewels. They appear to wink at each other frequently throughout the short film, which has enough loaded glances to power an entire feature film on its own.”
In a matter of seconds, jewels fall like petals from the ceiling as a character is contained in the honeymoon of their own making. Her face is filled with butterflies before she begins a slow-moving dance, almost like Uma Thurman’s billed “Pulp Fiction” routine.
Hathaway stumbles beside Zendaya as she tumbles into her body. At one point in the film, Hathaway wraps her arms around Zendaya, their heads touching, and the two of them sleep together on the mattress.
Zendaya whispers, “To discover new wonders.”
Sorrentino’s most recent film, The Hand of God, was nominated for a Best International Feature Film Oscar in 2022. “Mob Girl,” a true story about a Lower East Side mother who becomes an FBI mob informant, is currently being worked on by Sorrentino.
James Gray’s Armageddon Time premiered at Cannes, while “The Hand of Hathaway” was written and directed by Italian filmmaker Paolo Sorrentino recently.
In addition to Dune: Part 2 and Challengers, Zendaya is working with Call Me By Your Name director Luca Guadagnino on Dune: Part 2, which is currently in pre-production. Earlier this year, the Spider-Man: No Way Home star collaborated with Edgar Wright on a shell-themed Squarespace Super Bowl LVI ad.
